As a London based videographer, I get to enjoy working with a variety of organisations. Due to my healthy working relationship with private hospital Spire London East, after the pandemic, I was thrilled to come back to help them film their on-boarding video for new staff members.

The process

Their brief was simple, capture the very people who work at the hospital, tell their story for the audience to learn exactly what life is like at Spire London East. As always, we film a mixture of interviews and b-roll footage, to really get a glimpse of working life at the hospital. 2 long days capturing a variety of content, without disturbing the patients or, indeed, the staff as they do their incredibly vital work. We used 2 LED panels (with softboxes for soft light) for the interviews, as well as making use of the natural light around the hospital.

The outcome

The final video was shared internally to begin with, and it certainly felt like it captured the hospital in a great light. The hospital were thrilled with how it looked so decided to share it online externally (we had to edit a few things to make it appropriate for showing on social media). We’re happy with the feedback we’ve had and hopefully the video highlights the hard work the hospital does in the east of London.
